About Barbara  Gillman

Barbara Gillman is the CEO and founder of Voice Perfect and has an established studio based in Waverley Johannesburg. She is a highly experienced vocal teacher, radio presenter, and a published poet. Her focus is on teaching people how to find their perfect voice and to communicate more effectively.

Barbara is a regular judge at speaking competitions (Speech & Drama College and festivals with over 20 years’ experience”).  Barbara has trained communication skills to adults and individuals, as well as team-building sessions. She also specializes in teaching second language English speakers in the correct use of English, pronunciation and presentation skills. She is one of the official coaches for the Voice Bank – (www.voicebank.co.za) training people on how to communicate and excel on radio.  She trains students/learners/pupils in the art of elocution. Elocution lessons start with the students learning about the correct way of breathing. Elocution lessons are very important especially for very shy, introverted children.

Barbara specializes in voice coaching for speech and drama but does not provide voice training for vocalists in a musical context.
